Pigeon Dropping Cleaning & Roof Care in Southern Nevada

Most properties we provide service for in Henderson, Summerlin, Green Valley, Southern Highlands, Mountains Edge, and most of Southern Nevada require the pigeon droppings to be cleaned off the roof. Pigeons nest in their feces. As a result, most nesting & roosting areas contain potentially dangerous diseases and ectoparasites. Some transmissible conditions between birds and humans include Histoplasmosis, Cryptococcosis, E.coli, and bed bugs. Another concern is pigeon droppings are high in urea and can eat through the paper underlayment underneath roof tiles, causing leaks. If not caught promptly, pigeon feces can accumulate on the roof, causing the water to dam up and not drain off the roof properly, leading to leaks.


The first step is thoroughly disinfecting the site, making it safe for workers. To eliminate the accumulation of droppings, the area is cleaned or vacuumed to eliminate the bulk. The Henderson, NV home pictured above was so severe the tiles needed to be removed to clean underneath the tiles. It is important to note that not all roofs need to have the tiles removed, but unfortunately, if a pigeon problem isn't caught promptly, you may have to.


The area is then pressure washed & special enzymatic disinfectants are applied, breaking down the remainder of the droppings. These products are non-toxic, environmentally safe, non-flammable & biodegradable.


Finally, the last step for some homes is to replace the tiles making sure there aren't any gaps in between the tiles creating an opening for new pigeons to nest. We take care of it all!
